디악깔라이, 안녕하세요 여러분?

 전반적으로 아이나로에서 진행된 평화학교 활동이 잘 끝났습니다. 다만 한가지 전체가 결정한 사안에 대해서 한 친구가 동의할 수 없다는 바람에 작은 마찰이 있긴 했습니다. 그렇다고 서로에 대한 저희들의 신뢰가 깨어진 것은 아니고 오히려 그 친구를 조금 더 아는 계기가 됐습니다. 마음을 터 놓고 얘기하면서 그 친구의 배경을 이해할 수 있었고 그 친구가 해왔던 열정을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 학생들이 이런 활동을 통해 기뻐하는 것을 지켜보면서 저희도 덩달아 흥이 났답니다. 여러 아이들은 내내 저희들과 붙어 있고 싶어 했고 나중에 헤어지기도 싫어했습니다. 그 친구들은 하나같이 저희가 진행한 수업방식이 자신들의 선생님들과 많이 다르다고 했습니다. 보통은 수업시간에 실수로 틀리거나 할 경우 늘 맞곤 해서 무서웠답니다.

 그곳에서 선생님 한 분과도 작은 논쟁이 있었습니다. 교장선생님과 논의한 끝에 저희는 항상 오후에 학교 활동을 시작했습니다. 오전에는 정규수업이 진행돼야 했기 때문입니다. 그렇게 잘 진행됐었는데요, 이 선생님이 와서는 정규수업의 오전 시간을 저희들의 시간으로 메워 달라고 줄 곧 저희를 설득하시려 했습니다. 그러자 몇몇 저희 멤버들이 그 분과 조금의 신경전이 생겨서 우리는 원래 스케줄 데로 하자고 결정한 후 그 분의 제안을 무시했습니다.

 일요일에는 도코 말리 (Doko Mali) 강에 갔었습니다. 모두들 아름다운 자연에서 재충전 하는 것에 즐거워했습니다. 날씨가 쌀쌀하기 때문에 아직까지는 물에 들어가는 것이 어려웠습니다. 그래서 주위에서 사진도 좀 찍고 휴식을 취하다가 돌아왔답니다.

2. 이곳의 여러 친구들과 평화학교를 진행할 때 마다 생길 수 있는 모든 문제들은 지혜롭게 풀어나갈 수 있는 제(엔수)가 되도록 기도해 주십시오.

Hallo friends, diak ka lae?

In generally, our peace school activity in Ainaro is done well. We just had little conflict with a member who couldn’t follow the decision we’ve made together. But it doesn’t mean we didn’t trust each other but we could learn to understand him more. Through sharing we could know his personal background and it brought us into passion for the thing he did.  Observing and experience such active participation of the students made us happy and more excite because they could feel happy with this activity. Many children want to be together with us and don’t want to be separated from us. They said that the way we organize them in the classroom was feeling different with the way their teacher did. Their formal teacher used to hit them whenever they have mistaken so it makes them they feel afraid. There is also a little debating with a teacher there. As we have had a deal with the head master, we usually do the peace school activity on the afternoon because their formal class begins in the morning until day time. And everything was just running well. But this teacher keep persuade us to do our activity in the morning and we feel he wanted to provoke us to occupy the morning schedule of the formal school. So some of our member were getting a little bit tension with him but as we decided to keep our schedule than we just ignore him.

On Sunday, we went to visit Doko Mali River.  Everybody felt happy having some refreshing at such beautiful place. But still difficult for them to get into the water because of cold weather there, so all friends just taking photo and take a rest there.

Prayer request

1.      Pray that God blesses all friends who have spend their time having peace activity with me and the children in Ainaro

2.      Pray that God helps me to be able to solve every problem we have during the peace education activity with friends here.
